Audio Video Technician/Installer

We are currently seeking a low voltage technician for on-site installation and field service in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. The role of the technician is the core of our Company. It is an exciting position that offers a team atmosphere and the ability to develop relationships with our customers across a wide range of industries. We look for motivated individuals that enjoy contributing to a team while working independently. Experience with Access Control preferred.

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

• Basic Troubleshooting skills.
• Basic mechanical & electrical knowledge and aptitude.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment.
• Team oriented while also being an independent thinker.
• Have the physical capability to do some lifting and work from ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of basic computer related skills such as using the internet, mobile devices and email software.
• Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with Midwest Systems & Services, Inc.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Installation and Maintenance of systems and components marketed by our Company.
• Field work including maintenance and installation of Sound, CCTV, Alarm and Low Voltage A/V Systems as well as Specialized Intercom, Timing and Video Systems for the Quick Serve industry.

Supervision & Training:

Technician will:

• Complete a combination of training programs online and on-site.
• Report to a local manager and will be expected to work independently when fully trained.
• Consent to pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Consent to pre-employment background check including driving record.
• Hold a valid Driver's license.

Our company is looking for an individual who possesses a full understanding of all areas of low voltage systems such as Intercoms, CCTV, Sound, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, and so much more. Previous experience in these fields is required. This role does NOT encompass the world of IT. It would be very rare that IT skills would be utilized. If that is your passion, this is not the right job for you.
