Minimum of 7+ Years of experience.
- Azure Expertise: Proficient understanding of Azure services, particularly those related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
- Virtualization Skills: Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware and hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/VDI) for deployment, configuration, management and support.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking principles and how they apply to virtual desktop environments. Specific knowledge of ports and applications required for traversing agency firewall configurations.
- Windows Server: Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and their integration with Azure.
- Application Server: Familiarity with SCCM / OSD and Intune / AutoPilot for systems Management and provisioning.
- Security Understanding: Knowledge of security measures and best practices for securing virtual desktop environments.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to virtual desktop performance and connectivity.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks.
- Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills, as the role often involves working with other IT professionals and departments.
- Continuous Learning: Given the evolving nature of technology, a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest Azure and VDI advancements.
