Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer serves as the chief financial and administrative officer, holding the ultimate responsibility for the financial health, strategic growth, and operational integrity of Setpoint Systems Corporation. This executive-level role oversees all financial and administrative functions, including Accounting, Contract Administration, MIS, and Warehouse/Purchasing. A critical component of this role is managing relationships with equity partners and investment firms to drive long-term value and support strategic initiatives.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000 Annual Salary

Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Equity Management

• Equity Partner Relations: Act as the primary liaison for equity partners and firms, providing transparent financial reporting, performance analysis, and strategic insights.
• Capital Structure: Advise on capital raises, debt management, and financial modeling to support organizational growth.
• Executive Reporting: Prepare and deliver Weekly Flash/Dashboard reports, monthly financial statements, and board-level presentations to the President and external stakeholders.
• Financial Management & Compliance
• Financial Integrity: Oversee all general ledger activities, journal entries, and the maintenance of the ComputerEase system.
• Tax & Regulatory: Ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings, including sales/use tax and annual W-2/1099 processing.
• Cash & Banking: Maintain and optimize relationships with banking institutions and oversee all accounts receivable, payable, and aging processes.
• Risk Management & Contract Administration
• Contractual Oversight: Approve and evaluate construction, subcontract, and service contracts to mitigate organizational risk.
• Insurance & Bonding: Manage the company’s bonding capacity and maintain a comprehensive insurance portfolio, including health, liability, and property coverage.
• Operational & MIS Oversight
• Operational Metrics: Develop and evaluate reports for labor utilization, project profitability (backlog/job costing), and sales commissions.
• Administration: Provide executive oversight for fleet management, building maintenance, and warehouse/purchasing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience scaling a company as a CFO or high-level Controller within the construction or engineering industry.
• Direct experience working with equity partners or private equity firms.
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management.
• Experience with ComputerEase or similar construction-based ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Strong background in contract administration and bonding.
