About the Role:
The Chief Financial Officer, CFO, is a senior executive responsible for leading financial strategy, accounting, and operational finance for a growing organization in the construction, real estate development, and manufacturing space. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive financial discipline, support scalable growth, and enable data driven decision making. The CFO plays a critical role in financial planning, capital strategy, and building the financial infrastructure needed to support expansion in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long range financial strategy.

  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strong internal controls.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, capital allocation, and liquidity planning to support operations and growth.

  • Develop and maintain financial models for project profitability, pricing strategies, and investment analysis.

  • Partner with operations and project teams to align financial plans with production schedules and project timelines.

  • Support fundraising, capital planning, investor relations, and strategic initiatives.

  • Establish and manage relationships with banks, lenders, auditors, and key financial vendors.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff, including oversight of external partners.

  • Implement and optimize ERP systems, financial systems, and reporting tools to support scale and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Ten or more years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior leadership or CFO level responsibility.

  • Strong experience in construction finance, real estate development, manufacturing, or project based businesses.

  • Proven ability to build and scale financial infrastructure in a high growth environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.

  • Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to non financial stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced financial certification.

  • Experience supporting fundraising, equity structures, or investor reporting.

  • Background implementing ERP systems or modern financial technology platforms.

  • Experience working in entrepreneurial or fast scaling organizations.
