**Job Title** Chief Engineer **Job Description Summary** Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This includes but is not limited to: chillers, cooling towers, fans, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls and BMS/EMS. **Job Description** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:** Other duties may be assigned. Management also reserves the right to change or modify this position description from time to time to meet the needs of the site and/or building(s) + Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems. + Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action. + Respond to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the critical specifications of all Data Centers and critical environments as well as operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable. + Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS/EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment and system operations. + Work with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems. + Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment. + Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs. + Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program. + Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs. + Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule. + Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions. + Create and maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems. **REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):** + Ten years' Experience operating central plant; Steam and Chillers + Experience working with pneumatic controls required + Experience working with capital construction projects. + Minimum of Ten years field experience in down town class A office towers + Education or training in HVAC, refrigeration and controls + Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License + Proficient with Microsoft Office. + Strong writing skills required. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** + Ability to lift 25lbs frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally + Climb and work off of ladders and aerial lifts safely + Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
