Job Title: Radiology Coder
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Radiology Coder to join our client to ensure accurate and compliant coding of interventional radiology procedures. This direct hire, fully remote opportunity (open to candidates in CST or EST time zones) involves reviewing medical documentation, assigning proper codes, and maintaining adherence to current guidelines. The ideal candidate will contribute to the accuracy of revenue cycle processes while supporting provider education and documentation quality.
Compensation:
$33 – $35/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Radiology Coder:
• Review medical records to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and modifier codes for interventional radiology services.
• Conduct compliance checks and identify documentation gaps, collaborating with providers to improve accuracy.
• Support quality assurance efforts, including reviewing coding errors, assisting with audits, and providing feedback to peers.
• Stay current on coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure all coding is performed compliantly.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and provider information in alignment with HIPAA and organizational standards.
Qualifications and Skills for the Radiology Coder:
• Certification through AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA required; CIRCC strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of medical coding experience; if no CIRCC certification, 5+ years of interventional radiology coding required with willingness to obtain certification within 12 months.
• Strong knowledge of CMS and CPT coding guidelines.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies with attention to compliance and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
