Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Location: Michigan, Greater Detroit Area

Compensation:
Base Salary: $95,000–$120,000
Bonuses: Performance-based, project completion, and safety incentives

About the Role

A respected and well-established commercial roofing contractor in Michigan is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale roofing projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is a confidential search for a company known for its quality, professionalism, and long-term stability in the commercial and industrial roofing sector.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations on commercial and industrial roofing projects.

  • Manage field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to schedule, scope, and safety standards.

  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Conduct quality control inspections and verify compliance with specifications and warranties.

  • Track progress, labor hours, material deliveries, and project milestones.

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.

  • Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate updates to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial roofing supervision, including flat roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Built-Up, Modified Bitumen).

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, safety compliance, and crew management.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job submittals.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop field teams.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites across Michigan.

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

We represent a top-tier commercial roofing and building envelope contractor seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to drive business growth across the Grand Rapids region. This individual will take ownership of new client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation within a well-established territory known for strong repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, property managers, and developers.

  • Identify and close new business opportunities in the commercial roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope sectors.

  • Lead the proposal and bidding process with support from estimating and operations teams.

  • Negotiate contracts and ensure a seamless handoff to project execution teams.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven B2B construction sales experience (roofing, exteriors, or building materials).

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and achieving or exceeding multimillion-dollar targets.

  • Ability to work autonomously, travel locally, and manage a robust sales pipeline.
