Job Description

We are seeking a driven and experienced Construction Manager  in Columbus, OH   to join our team, specializing in tenant finish and interior commercial construction projects. This role involves overseeing the transformation of interior spaces, including a 5,000 sqft brewery conversion into a scratch kitchen, and various other restaurant, retail, and healthcare tenant improvements.

Approximately 85% of the work involves tenant finish projects, requiring a hands-on leader with strong experience in interior build-outs and refinishes.

Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Job Type: Temporary, 10 weeks
Pay rate: $30.00/hr-$32.00/hr (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site operations for interior commercial construction projects
• Supervise and coordinate 10+ subcontractors to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety
• Oversee refinishing and remodeling efforts in active and occupied commercial spaces
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Act as a liaison between project management, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Conduct site walkthroughs and quality control inspections
• Resolve job site conflicts and maintain project timelines

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
• Proven experience in tenant finish work, especially in restaurants, retail, and healthcare environments
• Strong background in interior renovations, refinishes, and kitchen builds
• Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor management
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, and clients
• Proficient in project management tools and scheduling software
