Job Description

Job Title: Content Creator.
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid).
Reports to: Marketing Manager.

About The Foggy Dog:

At The Foggy Dog, we believe your best friend deserves the best. That’s why we are passionate about making high-quality pet accessories that are as beautiful as they are functional. And, every order helps a pup in need: we are proud to have provided over 400,000 pounds of food to rescue shelters since our launch. Our products are available at and in over 800 brick and mortar retailers.

We are a small (but mighty!) female-founded team based in San Francisco. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a creative, energetic, data-driven environment and share our values of collaboration, communication, and positivity. This role offers the opportunity to make a huge impact in a fast-growing ecommerce company.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a fun, outgoing, dog-loving content creator based in San Francisco who lives for crafting thumb-stopping short-form videos. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to hook scrollers, showcase product value in seconds, and blend brand voice with conversion strategy. You’ll shoot engaging videos and/or photos - ideally featuring your own dog - to support high-performing paid social campaigns.

This is a contract, part-time role (estimated 8 hrs/week) reporting to our Marketing Manager. Candidates must be local to San Francisco and able to come in at least once a week to shoot content in our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce short-form, thumb-stopping video content tailored to Meta ad performance best practices (Reels, Stories, and Feed placements).
  • Deliver creative assets that align with TFD’s brand while driving clicks, conversions, and engagement.
  • Work from briefs and performance data to create content that emphasizes product benefits, seasonal storytelling, and customer value props.
  • Test a variety of angles: unboxing, try-ons, voiceovers, founder-style storytelling, trend-based hooks, and more.
  • Capture high-quality footage of your dog in TFD products, highlighting design, fit, texture, and style.
  • Edit and deliver ready-to-run ad content on a recurring basis, including multiple versions and ratios when needed.

About You:

  • A natural storyteller who thinks in TikToks and Reels. You understand how to grab attention in the first few seconds - and keep it.
  • Outgoing, upbeat, and not afraid to get on camera (or get silly with your pup).
  • A heavy social media user who is always scrolling - partly for fun, partly for inspiration.
  • Strong mobile video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Rush, etc.).
  • Access to a photogenic dog and the ability to consistently feature them in lifestyle content.
  • Familiarity with Meta platform best practices (first 3 seconds, strong hooks, UGC style, value-based messaging).
  • A self-starter with creative agility: ability to work from light briefs, respond to feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Bonus: Background in DTC or experience creating for pet/lifestyle brands.

Contract Details:

  • Initial scope: 6-8 ad-ready assets per week (ex. 4 concepts; two iterations of each).
  • Compensation: $20- $30/hr based on experience and output.
  • Flexible hours; will need to come into our San Francisco office Tuesdays and/or Thursdays to shoot behind-the-scenes video with the team; timely turnaround and communication expected.

To Apply:

To apply, please submit your resume and a portfolio to careers@thefoggydog.com with “Content Creator” in the subject line. We are a small team and every hire has a huge impact on the company, so tell us what inspires you to want to join our team. Please note that we will not evaluate resumes without a portfolio.

We believe a diversity of viewpoints, experiences, and backgrounds make our team stronger. The Foggy Dog is proud to be an equal opportunity employer (EEO) that welcomes applicants and employees of all genders, races, backgrounds, orientations and nationalities.
