Lakewood Park Events LLC encompasses Catalpa Grove Event Venue Lakewood Park Campground and Lakewood Park Cafe all situated on the historic Lakewood Park Property in Barnesville PA. With over 110 events hosted annually and a growing campground with 130 sites we are dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests. Our new cafe opens in the coming month which will offer a larger retail store espresso coffee variety of food and pastry items and a lounge with a full bar.

Summary

TheCook will work closely with the Head and Senior Cook to execute a menu with high quality and consistency. Besides cooking food based on customer orders the cook may prep food for future use and may also make bakery items to sell. The candidate should possess past kitchen experience as well as demonstrate an understanding of food safety standards/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement/replicate/serve onmenu items as established by set recipes.
• Offers suggestions for menu enhancements/specials.
• Prep stations as applicable and make soups/bakery items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Foster positive relationships with co-workers and vendors.
• May assist barista and ice cream serving staff as applicable as well.

Requirements

• Experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or cafe.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in food preparation.
• ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Ability to work weekends likely many weekends at first and rotations in the future as we build out our team.

• This role is part-time (16-30 hrs per week) and will primary work on weekends - either AM/PM shifts (can likely be flexible with proper notice).
