Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service provider specializing in skilled trade services. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team. The Delivery Driver is a Class C licensed driver and responsible for delivering and/or retrieving construction equipment and/or material from job sites while ensuring safe arrival times. The work schedule is Wednesday through Sunday 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Operate company stake beds or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and material
• Hook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles as needed
• Tow trailers as needed to transport equipment and materials when required
• Tie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practiced
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Ensure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and other team members regarding delivery arrival times
• Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive time
• Adaptable to work independently and as part of a team
• Operate forklifts to move equipment as needed
• Additional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of delivery experience related to construction equipment or a closely related field
• Valid and insurable Class C driver’s license (defined as holding a valid license with no more than two points on driving record within the past five years)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Physical ability to load, unload, and handle equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively

Salary Description

$20 to $25 per hour (DOE)
