Job Description

Sirna & Sons Produce, a fourth-generation family-run wholesale food distributor and a FreshEdge LLC company, is currently hiring local drivers in Ravenna, OH. Our distribution network covers Ohio, Central Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia, providing fresh produce, dairy, and specialty items six days a week to various establishments such as restaurants, hotels, country clubs, schools, and institutions. We take pride in providing our customers with only the freshest produce.

Compensation:

• Starting Hourly Pay: $19/hr.
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Schedule & Route:

• Home Time: Home daily
• Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Shift: Typically 5–6-hour shifts with start times varying typically between 8:00 pm. More hours available if requested (by working in the warehouse)
• Route: Deliver a straight truck load from Ravenna, Ohio, to Pittsburgh, PA, and back
• Level of Touch: No Touch Freight, load & unload
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50lbs with no assistance
  • Be able to use a 2-wheel dolly

Equipment:

• Freightliner M2 Trucks, International MV607 (2019-2024)

Qualifications:

• At least 1-year successful experience preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• DUI/DWI is eligible if over 5 years ago
• Carrier Safety Administration knowledge
• Speak and write English satisfactorily
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and a proven safe PSP score
• DOT physical examination and Pre-Employment Drug Test
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• Drivers must live within a 40-mile radius of Ravenna, OH, or be willing to relocate for a position
