Job Title: Electrical Estimator – Fire, Security & Low Voltage Systems

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with a focus on fire alarm, burglar/security, and low-voltage systems . This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with vendors, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.



Key Responsibilities:


Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents for fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage projects.

• Prepare detailed estimates, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, design alternatives, and value-engineering options.
  
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during the pre-construction and bidding process.
  
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all estimates, pricing, and bid results.
  
• Stay informed on industry trends, materials, codes, and manufacturer standards.
  

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an estimator in electrical, fire alarm, or low-voltage systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, NEC requirements, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with estimating software (McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple bids and meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency. Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of system design and installation processes.
