Job Summary

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met. This role involves hands-on preparation, team supervision, and adherence to corporate culinary programs and standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate kitchen staff in food preparation and service.

• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and visually appealing food presentation.

• Assist with menu planning, purchasing, inventory, and food production.

• Support cost control efforts and manage kitchen expenditures.

• Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation compliance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or related field; or Associate’s degree with additional specialized training.

• 3–5 years of professional culinary experience.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Proficient in food costing, quality control, and industry trends.

• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and presentation best practices.
