JOB STATEMENT

The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive healthcare to clinic patients, adhering to established medical practice standards. The health center aims to improve community health and quality of life.

  JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provides medical services to all ages, following guidelines.
• Ensures timely follow-up care.
• Refers patients to specialists with complete clinical info.
• Adheres to high standards of practice, ethics, and professionalism.
• Uses Electronic Health Records for documentation.
• Supervises allied health professionals, and aids their development.
• Participates in quality improvement projects.
• Identifies risk management issues, and informs Chief Medical Officer.
• Attends meetings, workshops, and conferences for continuing education.
• Performs other tasks as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education : M.D. or D.O. from accredited school
• Specialized Training/Certifications/Licenses : Medical Residency, Board Certified/Eligible, Texas Physician License, DEA Registration, and CPR Certification
• Experience : Preferred previous practice experience
• Knowledge:  Public Health, Urban Healthcare Systems, Medical Terminology, and Spanish ( plus )
• Skills : Computer Literacy, Microsoft Office, Communication, Patient Orientation, Critical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Time Management, Confidentiality, and Interpersonal Relations
• Abilities : Speak/Read/Write English, Lift 20 Lbs., Full Range of Body Motion, Manual Dexterity, and Visual Acuity
• Other : Liability Insurance, Work Some Saturdays, Local/Infrequent Travel, and Maintain Immunizations
