Job Summary
Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
- Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
- Develop creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
- Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
- Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
- Assist in front desk-related activities, including:
- Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of questions.
- Checking members into the system.
- New member sign-ups.
- Taking potential members on tours.
- Changing/updating member account information.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, elevating issues to Team Lead, MIT, or Club Manager as needed.
- Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
- Assist in the overall cleanliness and appearance of the club.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Honesty and good work ethic.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Punctuality and reliability are a must.
- Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
- Completed fitness trainer certification.
**Physical Demands**
- Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift.
- Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
