General Manager Aptitudes: Planning, delegation, organization skills, positive mental attitude, time management, problem solving, team accountability, customer focus
General Manager Responsibilities:
Communication with Team - Coordinates with assistant manager for continuity of shop coverage. Works as liaison between front office and back shop. Continual communication with Assistant Managers, Service Writers. and Technicians as well as regional leadership.
Driving/Delegating Productivity - Responsible for site organization, operations, and regulatory requirements. Sets pace and assigns work for the facility. Responsible for clearing A/R for their shop. Responsible for bay management and daily production of their shop. Sets employee and customer schedule. Involved with recruiting and sales for their facility.
Internal/External Problem Solving - This role is our highest shop-level leadership. Works with employees, customers, and vendors to solve issues.
Other - Assist other front desk staff as needed. Keep workspaces neat and clean per organizational and regulatory requirements.
General Manager Requirements:
Professional appearance.
Strong automotive knowledge and previous management experience
Desire to earn ASE Certifications
