Job Description

We are a non-denominational church based in San Antonio, TX. The Next Generations Pastor reports to the Executive Pastors and provides pastoral guidance, operational leadership, and ministry coordination to the Next Generations ministry areas at Summit Church. They will oversee the Next Gen staff and must possess a pastoral heart that can lead the ministry teams of these age groups. This position has supervisory responsibility over the Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Young Adult Pastor. Responsibilities: Next Generations Ministry Leadership • Work with the Executive Pastors to set ministry goals that align with the vision of Summit Church • Develop, lead, and disciple Next Gen ministry leaders by facilitating training and setting specific, measurable goals that achieve the vision and purpose of their assigned ministry • Oversee the programming and development strategies that the Next Gen ministry leaders create • Oversee the team’s efforts for coordinating, planning, and executing various Next Gen ministry events Administrative Support • Create weekly and monthly department updates for the Executive Pastors • Manage Next Gen budgets and wisely steward church resources when approving purchase orders and proposals • Actively observe and evaluate the performance of the Next Gen ministry leaders during Sunday services and mid-week ministry • Assists with database management and information support systems. • Manage escalated ministry matters, including but not limited to parent concern escalations, investigations, serious incident/injury reports, and conflicts within the Next Gen ministries Qualifications: • 2+ years of administrative experience preferred. • Experience working with curriculum. • Experience working with budgets, inventory, and purchasing. • Experience working for or with a non-profit organization or ministry. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Acute attention to detail. • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects About Company: We invite you to apply and join our dynamic team!
