Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a health conscious, food and beverage company who is hiring for Greenhouse Technicians to join their team. This is a five month contract opportunity, offering competitive pay while working onsite. The ideal candidate has the ability to care for plants, harvest crops and prep pots with soil or other growth media for planting.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor plant health and report any signs of pests, disease, or stress to supervisors.
2. Harvest crops in a timely manner, ensuring quality standards.
3. Maintain and prune watermelon plants on trellises, including trimming vines to promote optimal growth.
4. Water, fertilize, and care for plants according to standard protocols.
5. Transport plants, tools, and materials between buildings and the greenhouse safely and efficiently.
6. Record data related to plant growth, transplanting, or harvest for research or production tracking.

Requirements:

1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Strong attention to detail, organization and commitment to high-quality plant care.
3. Ability to climb ladders for trellis maintenance.
4. Willing to work in hot, humid and changing weather conditions.
5. Ability to continuously follow safety protocols.
6. Greenhouse or horticulture experience is beneficial but not required.
