Job Description
A leading industrial operation specializing in underground material transport and processing is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to support its high-demand mining activities. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience operating haul trucks and other heavy equipment in rugged environments, preferably underground, and brings a strong commitment to safety, mechanical aptitude, and reliability.
What you will be doing:
Operate heavy equipment (haul trucks, loaders, skid steers, articulated trucks) in an underground mining environment
Load, haul, and unload salt and other materials safely and efficiently
Perform basic maintenance tasks on conveyors, crushers, screens, and mobile equipment
Assist the maintenance team with repairs as needed
Maintain clean and safe work areas through routine housekeeping
Complete documentation accurately and on time
Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure safety and production goals are met
Uphold all safety procedures and MSHA regulations
Experience you will need:
2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in industrial or mining environments
Preferred familiarity with underground operations and equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, and skid steers
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying temperature conditions underground
Strong attention to safety and mechanical problem-solving
Must pass a physical and drug screening
Must be able to work full-time and comply with all PPE requirements
