Job Description

The High Pressure Boiler Operator to oversee the efficient and compliant operation of high-pressure boiler systems in an industrial or biotech setting. This role is critical to ensuring consistent steam supply, system reliability, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with boiler operations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on boilers, pumps, compressors, and control systems.
  • Regulate controls to maintain required steam pressure and temperature levels in support of production and facility needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment status, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Strictly follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations and participate in safety programs.
  • Assist in emergency procedures related to boiler and steam system incidents as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or technical certification in boiler operations preferred.
  • Valid High Pressure Boiler Operator License or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • Strong experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers in an industrial, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of boiler control systems, steam distribution, and auxiliary components.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards pertaining to boiler operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
