Job Description

Family Service Association has an exciting opportunity for a paid internship in our Human Resources department with the opportunity to become full time. 

The potential intern must have a strong sense of discretion, detailed oriented and well organized.  We are ideally looking for someone between 25-35 hours per week at $21-$24 per hour with a semi flexible schedule between 8am - 5pm, Monday -Friday. 

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist in maintaining all personnel files including restricted and confidential material.
• Coordinate hiring process, including new employee orientation, and entering data for new hires into Paylocity. Ensure license, certification, TB, CPR, First Aide, drivers license, and other data needed for regulatory compliance is entered. Communicate new hire information to other departments.
• Provide clerical support to ensure that all personnel documentation is filed appropriately and entered accurately.
• Assist with the onboarding process, checking references, CORI processing, coordinating orientation and training using the applicant tracking system.
• Participate in HR reporting, analyzing and tracking data in excel.
• Assist with coordination of benefit administration and performance reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality of office.
• Provide prompt response to employees and leadership regarding HR questions and information.
• Respond to reasonable expectations of the Agency and/or supervisor.
• Assist with various HR projects, requiring knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
• Office experience required with some basic HR knowledge. 
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
