Job Title: Labor & Delivery RN
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Shift Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days & Nights – Must be flexible)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $68/hr – $75 per hour on a W2

Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
Assist with labor and delivery, including cesarean sections in a dedicated OR setting.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and clinical assessments.
Support newborn care immediately following delivery.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Epic/Stork EMR system.
Float to Mother-Baby, Pediatrics, or adult medical units as needed (support role only if outside scope).
Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and healthcare regulations.

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 4–5 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience – Required
Proficient in obstetric emergencies, fetal monitoring, and labor support techniques
Prior experience with Epic/Stork EMR – Required
Flexible to work both day and night shifts on a rotating schedule
Comfortable floating to related units when needed
Strong patient education, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
Active and unrestricted RN license in New York – Required

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA) – Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS – AHA) – Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
COVID-19 Vaccination per facility policy – Required
