Local Class C Driver

Summary:
We are looking for dedicated and professional Class C Drivers to join our team. As a key part of our operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to our stores and distribution centers. The ideal candidate is a reliable and experienced driver with a clean driving record, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Inspect loads for safe transportation.
• Handling inner yard transfers.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport goods to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork, including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered or recommended.
• Operates loading, storing, and securement devices such as pallet jacks, forklifts, power pallet jacks/riders, and moving-related equipment such as dollies and lift levers to load and unload supplies, freight, foods, material, equipment, and mail.
• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Class C Driver's License without restrictions and limitations, including a current DOT Medical cert.
• Must be able to drive a 10-speed shift Manual Transmission.
• Ability to pass a road test (manual trucks).
• At least 1 year satisfactory driving record as obtained from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
• 1-2 years of driver experience in warehouse/ logistics/ shipping.
• Must possess the ability to read, understand, and communicate verbally in English. Bilingual English/Mandarin or English/ Spanish preferred.
• Experience in handling product barcodes preferred.
• Experience in hauling reefer trailers is preferred.
• Experience in pallet jack and forklift is preferred.
• Available to work on weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

• This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
• Prolonged sitting while driving long distances.

Working Conditions:

• This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full Time.
• Location: 6338 Regio Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620.
• Work Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-5pm
• Available to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.

Compensation:

The pay range for this job starts at $25.00 an hour. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
