Location:  Multiple Locations (Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Roswell, Truth or Consequences, Santa Clara, and Los Lunas, NM)
Employment Type:  Full-Time

Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced  Medical Records Director  to oversee the management and security of patient health information systems within healthcare facilities in  Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Roswell, Truth or Consequences, Santa Clara, and Los Lunas, New Mexico . This role ensures compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA), leads EHR implementation, and maintains the integrity of medical records to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification.
  • Experience: 5+ years in health information management, including leadership roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in EHR systems, medical coding, and data analysis.
    • Expertise in HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage teams and resolve complex compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the medical records department and supervise staff.
  • Develop policies for health information management and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Oversee EHR system implementation, maintenance, and security.
  • Conduct audits to verify accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrators on data needs.
  • Manage release of information processes while maintaining patient confidentiality.
