Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Assistant to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are key. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in in supporting mortgage loan operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities : + Collect and process applicant documentation-including income, asset, and credit information-to support mortgage loan applications. + Supporting escrow operations. + Review, organize, and maintain loan files in accordance with industry compliance standards. + Input and update client data within CRM and loan origination platforms. + Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate professionals, and internal departments to facilitate application progress. + Track document status, follow up on missing information, and ensure timely submission. + Perform data entry, file audits, and follow-up on outstanding documentation. + Manage escrow files from opening to post-closing, maintaining accuracy and compliance at every step. + Strong communication and organizational abilities remain essential, along with digital fluency in CRM and automation platforms. Requirements + 1+ years of mortgage or escrow experience + Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, lenders, and team members + Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple files and deadlines with accuracy + Demonstrated digital fluency, including experience with CRM platforms and loan origination software + Attention to detail to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies + Ability to contribute to workflow automation and cross-functional process improvements + Prior experience in mortgage lending or administrative support, as well as a service-oriented mindset.
