Join us as a **Nurse Educator position** at Tennova Healthcare- Clarksville Unit: Clinical Education (1+ years of ICU experience preferred) Shift: Mon-Fri Student Loan Contribution: Up to $20k Other incentives include: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k match & more available for Full and Part-Time roles **Job Summary** The Nurse Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to support the ongoing professional development of nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to assess educational needs and develop initiatives that align with organizational goals and standards. **Essential Functions** + Develops and delivers evidence-based educational programs, workshops, and in-services to meet the learning needs of staff. + Conducts needs assessments to identify educational gaps and evaluates the effectiveness of educational interventions. + Serves as a resource and mentor for clinical staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities. + Collaborates with department leaders to ensure orientation and training programs are aligned with department-specific and organizational requirements. + Facilitates competency-based education and training to ensure staff are proficient in current clinical practices and technologies. + Participates in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to clinical education and practice standards. + Utilizes various teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning styles. + Maintains accurate records of educational activities, staff participation, and competency assessments. + Keeps current with trends and advancements in nursing practice, education, and regulatory requirements to ensure educational content is relevant and up to date. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Maintains regular and reliable attendance. + Complies with all policies and standards. **Qualifications** + 2-4 years of clinical nursing experience required + 1-3 years of experience in nursing education or staff development preferred **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in evidence-based nursing practice. + Excellent teaching and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with staff and leadership. + Proficiency in using technology and learning management systems to deliver and track educational content. + Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. + Ability to assess educational needs, develop learning objectives, and evaluate program effectiveness. + Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines impacting nursing practice and education. + Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry advancements. **Licenses and Certifications** + RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required + NPD - Nursing Professional Development preferred Equal Employment Opportunity This organization does not discriminate in any way to deprive any person of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect the status of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, veteran status, or military or uniformed services, in accordance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
