We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours/week) . This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about short-form video content, podcast editing, and has a good ear for sound, style, and pacing.

What You’ll Do:

• Edit at least 2 long-form videos per month (simple edits, typically podcast-style)

  • Create 2 teaser reels from each long-form video

• Produce approximately 15 other short-form reels per month

• Add captions/subtitles with correct grammar and spelling

• Enhance audio and apply basic sound effects

• Create simple motion graphics to support the content

• Work with unscripted, freeform content —no provided scripts, just natural riffing

• Understand and shape the message from conversational content

• Collaborate asynchronously, with at least 2 hours of overlap with Canadian working hours

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing for social media, YouTube, or podcasts

• Proficiency with editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)

• Comfortable working with unscripted footage ("riffing" style)

• Strong attention to detail, especially in captioning and sound

• Experience with basic motion graphics (e.g. animated text, transitions)

• Able to work independently and manage weekly output with minimal direction

• Reliable communication and time management
