We are in an exciting growth phase—expanding production capacity, developing new product lines, and strengthening our team. We’re seeking a Plant Manager who can lead operations, engineering, and project management functions to drive Bellco Feeders’ continued success.

Position Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of Bellco Feeders’ manufacturing operations, engineering, and project management. This role ensures efficient and safe production while maintaining high quality, cost control, and on-time delivery. The Plant Manager will manage a multidisciplinary team including production, maintenance, engineering, and project management to deliver custom automation systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic leader with a deep understanding of custom equipment manufacturing and the ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional operations in a growing business.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership. Oversee all day-to-day plant operations including fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery of Bellco Feeders systems.
  • Develop and execute production schedules , ensuring alignment with engineering and project management timelines.
  • Establish performance goals for production, quality, delivery, cost, and safety, track progress and drive accountability
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement. Oversee debugging, troubleshooting, and testing of Bellco systems to ensure top performance and customer satisfaction. Implement structured quality control processes and documentation for all stages of production.
  • Lead daily and weekly operations meetings to coordinate priorities across production, engineering, and project teams.
  • Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership. Collaborate with executive leadership on operational strategy, capital planning, and capacity.
  • Engineering & Project Management Oversight.  Direct and manage the Engineering and Project Management departments, ensuring close alignment between design, manufacturing, and delivery.
  • Support the engineering team in developing practical, manufacturable designs that balance innovation, performance, and efficiency.
  • Serve as a bridge between leadership and the operations floor , ensuring company vision translates into actionable execution.
  • Work with project managers to ensure that customer projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Bellco’s quality standards.
  • Help PM team with design reviews, build planning sessions, and cross-department collaboration to resolve technical or scheduling challenges.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or automation, including oversight of engineering and/or project management teams.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly, system integration, and custom equipment manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating engineering, production, and project functions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate forklifts or overhead cranes.
  • Willingness to work extended hours or overtime as required by production needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in custom automation, robotics, special machinery, or precision equipment industries.
  • Familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks, or other design and documentation systems.
  • Experience in a startup or growth-stage manufacturing environment with hands-on leadership responsibility.
