Job Description

The Daily Wire is seeking a talented and driven Podcast Producer to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you’ll serve as the Lead Producer on an assigned show, working closely with on-air talent to build strong, collaborative relationships and help grow the brand in a fast-paced, dynamic media landscape.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Function as Show Producer of daily and weekly shows, social media videos, and media appearances -- from pre-production through post-production
  • Maintain current programming and releases specific to Isabel Brown and others, as assigned
  • Measure and present to the Executive Team progress against short and long-term goals
  • Provide suggestions for show guests based on current events
  • Help maintain and develop strategies to improve performance
  • Represent and advocate for the talent and for DW
  • Consistently increase audience reach & engagement, work with other internal departments, such as Talent Management, Marketing, Ad Sales, Legal, Production, and Postproduction to fulfill deliverables and other obligations
  • Work with the Production Executive on budgeting and spending related to the brand
  • Manage scheduling and production sourcing
  • Provide guidance on story coverage and determine the best way to cover stories, consistent with DW’s style guide and expectations
  • Produce talent and take notes during field segments
  • Edit and brand field pieces for quick turnarounds and timely news reporting

Experience & Requirements

  • 3+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment preferred
  • Previous experience and proven track record in world class video and podcast production
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to appropriately take initiative
  • Working knowledge of the current political landscape
  • Avid follower of news, politics, and cultural commentary across all media platforms
  • Previous professional experience and proven success with a rapid-growth company preferred
  • Resourceful with a high sense of urgency
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and approach to work
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability and confidence to respectfully and constructively voice ideas and concerns with others
  • Function as a flexible problem solver with the ability to navigate competing demands
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, while exploring innovative solutions and driving business impact
  • Familiar with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
  • Working knowledge of video and sound editingFamiliar with of all aspects of post-production for video and filmStrong instinct for creative and storytelling
