To achieve this, MDE is modernizing its student information system and enhancing the quality of connected data systems. This initiative includes developing web-based applications, dashboards, and reports that improve data accessibility, accuracy, and usability for all stakeholders.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst (SME Level) will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity and accuracy across MDE's enterprise data modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience validating data pipelines, testing complex data transformations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Validate the output of SQL and ETL development to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and validation scripts targeting Azure Synapse pipelines, stored procedures, and data transformations.
Reconcile data between source systems, staging areas, and curated data layers within Azure Data Lake or Synapse.
Conduct regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure system stability and reliability.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to document and resolve data discrepancies.
Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, issue logs, and validation procedures.
Support the development of automated data quality checks using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA frameworks, testing processes, and DevOps integration.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred)

Samples of previous QA documentation (e.g., test plans, test cases, reports) are strongly preferred.
