Quality Supervisor | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $64,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor quality inspection personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to established quality standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Oversee all product inspections, testing, and audits throughout the manufacturing process.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, report performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and enforce compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant industry regulations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Experience with ERP/MES quality management modules
