Registered Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function for Growing Sleep Apnea Practice

Job Description:
This role is low-stress, relaxed, and more consultative in nature. We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant Extended Function (RDAEF) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and eager to support patients throughout their treatment journey. This position is based at our South San Jose headquarters, with travel to our other Bay Area offices (approximately twice per week).
  • Assist the dentist during clinical procedures related to sleep apnea and oral appliance therapy
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment rooms
  • Educate patients on oral appliance use, care, and maintenance
  • Support patient follow-up visits, adjustments, and progress evaluations
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation
  • Ensure smooth operations when traveling between offices, providing consistent care and communication
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Current California RDA license (required)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of chairside experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation for weekly travel between Bay Area locations
  • Experience with digital scanning systems (e.g., iTero, Trios) is a plus
  • Passion for patient care and improving sleep health
  • Requirements: The ability to travel to local satellite offices approximately 6-8 days per month. Travel stipend provided!
