Role Overview

As an SEO Content Writer, you’ll be responsible for producing keyword-optimized content that engages readers, supports our SEO objectives, and drives organic traffic. You will combine keyword research, subject matter research, and creative writing to craft helpful articles, expand page content, and optimize meta titles and descriptions. Content should go beyond surface-level optimization to provide genuinely helpful, well-researched perspectives aligned with EEAT principles.

You will work with multiple stakeholders within SEO and across other teams to support initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality work while meeting aggressive production goals. As a member of the SEO team, you will stay informed on the latest techniques for maximizing SEO value within articles, helping us stay ahead of the curve

What you do each day:

• Create engaging content that is optimized for search engines, and supports the larger SEO objectives.
• Support the SEO content manager in topic development, content brief creation, and content editing. 
• Conduct subject matter research and incorporate expert perspectives, real-world examples, or original analysis to ensure content provides unique value beyond what’s already ranking.
• Collaborate with other SEO team members to help produce content for page expansion, SEO optimization, and link-building initiatives.
• Document and maintain the status of project progress and completed work. 
• Create and monitor performance benchmarks

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in SEO content writing or a related field
• Impeccable use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Creative and strategic thinking skills
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
• Proven track record of developing high-value content that that demonstrates subject matter expertise and aligns with EEAT standards
• Experience in keyword research tools and analytics platforms (i.e., SEMRush, GA4, Search Console)
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication skills across cross-functional teams
• Data-driven decision-making approach with a passion for always improving
• Background in reporting and interviewing
• Familiarity with optimizing content for generative AI engines to enhance visibility in AI-powered search experiences
• Interest in experimenting with new search formats and staying ahead of content discovery trends

This role is open to candidates in Mexico and the expected salary range for this role starts at $28,000 USD annually.  The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
