Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a seasoned SAP FICO Consultant with at least 10 years of experience in consulting, particularly hands-on expertise in Vertex tax configuration and integration. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in taxation processes and a strong track record of executing end-to-end implementations in complex, multi-system environments. Additionally, you should demonstrate:
• A minimum of 10 years of consulting experience, specifically with SAP FICO.
• In-depth knowledge of Vertex tax configurations, processes, and third-party interface setup.
• Experience with complex interfaces, data flows, and validation mechanisms.
• Proven leadership abilities in coordinating cross-functional teams and achieving best-practice solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of creating documentation and delivering executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, I will lead and execute full lifecycle implementations of Vertex tax solutions, which includes the configuration and integration with SAP. My responsibilities will encompass the following:
• Designing and configuring tax processes within Vertex to comply with both business and regulatory requirements.
• Establishing and managing the connectivity between Vertex and third-party systems, including overseeing data flow and validation processes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify gaps, and design scalable tax solutions.
• Providing expertise in SAP tax configuration, particularly within FICO modules, ensuring a seamless integration with Vertex.
• Managing on-site and offshore teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within the defined scope.
• Conducting workshops, preparing documentation, and delivering presentations to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Supporting project management activities that include planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance team capabilities and improve overall delivery efficiency.

I am seeking individuals who not only meet the qualifications but are also eager to contribute to our dynamic team in Cognizant’s SAP practice. This role is a Full-Time position based in Austin, TX, offering a hybrid work model with three days onsite.

Preferred qualifications for this position include knowledge in SAP, a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and a CPA or CPA-equivalent certification as an advantage. Prior experience in high-tech or software industries is also preferred.
