In this role, you will act as a key technical leader responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will bring deep expertise in Nutanix hyper-converged systems, datacenter operations, VM lifecycle management, and AWS cloud services. This position requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, balancing daily system administration with the delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, optimize resources, and ensure business continuity through robust backup and disaster recovery solutions. Accountabilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and related technologies, including upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Oversee datacenter operations, from hardware installations to compliance with physical and logical security protocols.
• Manage virtualized environments, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and disaster recovery for virtual machines.
• Administer AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM, while supporting cloud workload migrations and enforcing security best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, develop automation scripts to improve efficiency, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Create and maintain documentation (system configs, SOPs, runbooks) while collaborating with internal teams to support business initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years in systems administration, with at least 4 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Nutanix AHV and Prism Central; NCP certification preferred.
• Deep knowledge of datacenter operations, virtualization technologies, and networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs).
• Proven experience administering AWS services and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Preferred: Advanced Nutanix or AWS certifications, familiarity with Ansible/Terraform, backup platforms (Veeam, NC2), and OS administration (Windows/Linux).
