Location: Austin, TX

Hybrid Onsite & Remote up to 80%

Duration: 09/01/2025 12/30/2025 (Potential Extension)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Web Content Writer to craft compelling, accurate, and user-focused content for public-facing websites. This role blends content strategy, writing, editing, and SEO optimization with a strong focus on communicating complex information in a clear, accessible manner for a diverse audience.

The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, and creative -capable of working independently while collaborating closely with designers, developers, analysts, and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on relevant topics and analyze strategies used by other organizations.
• Define content strategies to present complex information clearly for the target audience.
• Write, edit, fact-check, and proofread content for publication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging with stakeholder needs.
• Maintain consistent branding, tone, and style across all web content.
• Optimize website content for performance, SEO, and user experience.
• Provide ongoing website updates, including dynamic project updates.
• Review content for clarity, grammar, and tone.
• Track and report on content performance using analytics tools.
• Manage content-related project timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years web content writing or digital marketing experience.
• 8+ years working knowledge of SEO, content strategy, website editing, and analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar).
• 5+ years content planning and performance tracking experience.
• 5+ years' proven writing, editing, and storytelling expertise.
• 4+ year's professional copywriting and proofreading experience.
• 2+ years basic graphic editing skills (Photoshop and/or Illustrator).
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing content for various audiences.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years ' experience in early childhood care and education content.
• 2+ years strong collaboration experience working across multiple organizations.

Work Environment

• Hybrid role onsite in Austin, TX with up to 80% remote work flexibility.
• May require occasional work outside standard business hours.
