ServiceNow Portal Developer

Role and Responsibilities

Experience Level 8-9 years

• Designing, developing, and customizing ServiceNow portals using tools like AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Configuring and customizing various ServiceNow modules, including workflows, UI policies, UI actions, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Creating and implementing complex pages, custom widgets
• Implementing designer-provided user interfaces
• Matching the UI from designs on various pages of a portal
• Resolving UI performance bottlenecks
• Resolving complex widget defects
• Writing ATF tests
• Analyzing usage statistics
• Ensuring custom widgets and pages are ready for upgrade
• Integrating ServiceNow with other systems using REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and other methods.

Required Skills and Experience

• ServiceNow Platform: Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its various modules.
• Scripting: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant scripting languages.
• Web Technologies: Experience with web development technologies, including AngularJS, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.
• ITSM Processes: Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and best practices.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and team members.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Service Portal Expertise: Proven experience with Service Portal development using ServiceNow widgets and AngularJS.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• ServiceNow Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with CMDB: Knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) implementation.
• Performance Analytics: Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics for reporting and analysis.
• Integration Experience: Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
• Security Best Practices: Understanding of security best practices within ServiceNow, including ACLs and user roles.
