The San Francisco Police Department is seeking Retired Peace Officers with valid POST certification and Reserve Level-I Peace Officers to join a highly respected police department that serves a diverse community in one of the most beautiful cities in the country as a Special Events Officer. San Francisco Special Event Police Officers perform a wide variety of duties to promote public safety and security in and around the various event centers, city-wide events and other city venues.

Will be required to provide safety equipment (defined as ballistic vest, duty belt and related equipment). Firearm will be provided by San Francisco Police Dept.

Background Investigation: Prior to employment with the San Francisco Police Department, a thorough background investigation will be conducted to determine the candidate’s suitability for employment. The investigation may include, but not be limited to: criminal history records, driving records, drug/alcohol screening, and other related employment and personal history records.
