About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation & Migration Engineer to design, implement, and support automation solutions for Nutanix AHV environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PowerShell, VMware vCenter, and Nutanix AHV, with a focus on building reliable automation, migration workflows, and validation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Automation & Reporting:
  

  • Build PowerShell scripts to automate Nutanix AHV administration, reporting, and monitoring.
    

  • Convert and enhance existing VMware vCenter automation for AHV compatibility.
    

• Migration Support:
  

  • Create pre- and post-migration scripts to ensure smooth application migrations.
    

  • Perform detailed validation and testing to confirm successful application transitions.
    

• Integration & API Work:
  

  • Leverage VMware vSphere API and Nutanix Prism API for automation and integration tasks.
    

  • Optimize workflows for VM lifecycle management, provisioning, and reporting.
    

• Configuration Management:
  

  • Use Ansible for configuration management, orchestration, and repeatable deployment processes.
    

• Documentation & Collaboration:
  

  • Document procedures, runbooks, and scripts in Confluence for cross-team collaboration.
    

  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
    

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  

• Hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere/vCenter and Nutanix AHV administration.
  

• Familiarity with Nutanix Prism Central APIs and vSphere APIs .
  

• Experience with Ansible or other configuration management/orchestration tools.
  

• Strong knowledge of migration planning , testing, and validation methodologies.
  

• Good understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
  

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  

Nice to have

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
