Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our acute hospital team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sterile reprocessing and demonstrate expertise across a variety of specialties and equipment.
Shift Schedule:
Sundays: 8:00 AM 3:00 PM
Mondays Thursdays: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
Total: 40 hours per week
On-Call: None
Holiday Pay Policy:
Holiday rate applies only if the candidate works the entire shift the night before the holiday (7:00 PM 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM 7:00 AM).

COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required
Flu Vaccine: Required No Exemptions
Experience Requirements:
Minimum: 2 years of recent sterile processing experience in an acute hospital setting
First-time travelers: Not accepted
Certification Requirements:
Required: IAHCSMM / HSPA Sterile Reprocessing Certification
Preferred: Endoscope Reprocessing Certification
Weekend Requirement:
Sundays, 8:00 AM 3:00 PM
Skills & Competencies Required:
Acute Hospital OR procedures
Use of chemical agents for decontamination & disinfectants
Manual cleaning and high-level disinfection (HLD)
Operation of washers/sterilizers & ultrasonic cleaners
Sterilization wrapping & labeling procedures
Tray and set assembly (bariatric, cardiac, endoscopy, general, laparoscopic, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, robotics, urology)
Endoscope & probe reprocessing (bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, ERCP scopes)
Equipment documentation & use of Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)
Testing & monitoring: biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization, Sterrad
