Job Title: Apartment Maintenance Technician
Location: Chester, VA
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at a residential apartment community in Chester, Virginia . This is a full-time, first-shift position responsible for maintaining apartment units and common areas to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable living environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on apartment units
Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
Make basic repairs including drywall patching, painting, and carpentry
Troubleshoot and repair household appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, etc.)
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Assist with unit turns, including preparing apartments for new residents
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
Previous apartment or general maintenance experience required
Working knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to perform basic repairs to drywall, appliances, plumbing, and electrical components
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable transportation and strong attendance
