What You'll Do:
Provide Top-Tier Patient Care: Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to ensure exceptional care for every patient.
Respond to Emergencies: Be ready to jump into action, as emergency services operate 24/7, and your schedule may vary.
Stay Up-to-Date: Continuously learn and improve your skills, keeping current with the latest standards of care, equipment, and certifications.
Be a Professional: Treat patients, coworkers, and the public with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
Deliver Critical Care: Recognize and treat medical conditions using appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of state and county protocols.
Ensure Safe Transport: Provide safe and efficient medical transport to medical facilities, taking responsibility for patient care and following established procedures.
Drive with Care: Operate and drive ambulances safely, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep ambulances stocked and clean, taking pride in your workspace.
Handle Essential Paperwork: Gather patient billing information and complete pre-hospital patient care reports.
Respond Promptly: Answer calls from the Dispatch Center and transport patients according to policies and procedures.
Participate in pilot programs as needed.
Complete other assigned tasks.
What You'll Bring:
Valid NY State EMT certification.
Valid NYS Driver's license (minimum 2 years) with a clean driving record.
Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more.
Full COVID-19 vaccination.
Availability to work Fridays and either Saturdays or Sundays.
Ability to meet pilot program requirements.
