**Job Summary** :
Under the supervision of the area General Foreman and Journeyman Lineman Foreman this position will be responsible and accountable for the completion of in-field transmission line jobs, both maintenance and construction.
**Qualifications:**
The successful candidate(s) will possess the following experience and/or skills:
+ Experience as a journeyman line technician.
+ Able to climb wood and steel structure and work form a bucket truck.
+ Able to operate digger truck and other related equipment.
+ Successfully complete Lineman Red Tag Certification.
+ Must have a C.D.L. license or obtain license within six months of initial employment.
+ Complete any internal line training program.
+ Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of Electrical Transmission lines.
+ Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, and operating instructions and manuals relating to transmission equipment.
+ Safety and Environmental knowledge.
+ Ability to verbally communicate effectively and accurately.
+ Be available during off-duty hours.
+ Familiar and able to use Microsoft and ITC software.
+ Must meet residency requirement of 30 miles driving distance or less from the city listed on the job posting to the employee's residence.
+ Able to work and retain access to all related substations, ROW's and facilities.
