Ilkay Gündogan has completed a free transfer from Manchester City to Galatasaray.
The 34-year-old midfielder signed a two-year deal with the Turkish champions.
He joins after a season back at City, where he struggled for playing time.
Gündogan is the latest big-name recruit for Galatasaray, following Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sané.
His move adds experience and leadership to the Istanbul side’s midfield.
The Turkish club continues to strengthen its squad for domestic and European challenges.
During his City career, Gündogan won five Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, and the Champions League.

His contributions cemented him as one of City’s most decorated players.
City’s director of football, Hugo Viana, praised his legacy.
He described Gündogan as “synonymous with success” and a key figure in Guardiola’s era.
The German midfielder was Guardiola’s first signing in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund.
Of Turkish descent, Gündogan said joining Galatasaray held personal meaning.
He called lifting the Champions League in Istanbul “unforgettable” and wished City future success.
Now, he looks to begin a new chapter in Türkiye, returning closer to his roots.
