Job Summary: Owl is hiring for a Director of Information Technology. The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and day to day IT operations at the company. This includes infrastructure management, systems administration, cybersecurity, help desk operations, and corporate and property-based technology support. The Director will oversee a team of IT professionals and work closely with business leaders to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing technology systems that support company growth and day-to-day operations. In addition, the IT Director will be responsible for developing the future technology roadmap for the company.
- Lead and manage the IT department of system administrators driving a responsive, service-driven culture.
- Oversee the full IT infrastructure environment, including servers, cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, and onsite systems across all corporate and property locations.
- Oversee the management of Microsoft-based platforms including Office 365, Teams, and Windows Server, ensuring reliable performance and effective use across the company.
- Ensure a robust cybersecurity framework, including data protection, threat response, SOC2 readiness, and disaster recovery planning.
- Act as the senior escalation point for critical IT issues, outages, and vendor escalations.
- Collaborate with department heads to align IT support with business needs, operational workflows, and service expectations.
- Oversee vendor relationships, technology procurement, software licensing, and IT contract management.
- Collaborate with DevOps on IT requirements and support.
- Manage the IT budget, staff resources, project timelines, and hardware/software lifecycle planning.
- Stay up to date with IT infrastructure trends, best practices in cybersecurity, and evolving compliance standards.
- Serve as a collaborative partner to department heads, key associates, and executive leadership on innovation and technology initiatives that intersect with core IT systems providing infrastructure support and coordinating implementation as needed.
- Working knowledge of the Raise The Bar (RTB), experience with CMMC compliance and NIST 800-161, NIST 800-53.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- US Citizen
- Secret Security Clearance required – TS preferred
- Proven experience managing Microsoft environments, networks, cloud infrastructure, and end-user systems.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards, CMMC, RTB risk management, and business continuity planning.
- Experience working in a software engineering centric organization a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- The following certifications are a plus: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) CCP (Certified CMMC Professional) and CompTIA
